ELA 914 Reel Reading; Film and Literacy (Online Course)

Bring the magic of the big screen into your classroom and transform your students’ reading skills. Visual texts, such as film, offer an innovative way to help students “see” literary structures and reading strategies in action. As students recognize the connections between film and printed text, they will become more confident in their ability to appreciate, understand and analyze literary texts. Designed for grades 7-12, this course may be completed with or without students.
